Gaming laptops combine power, immersive graphics, realistic audio and portability. Modern iterations tend to be virtual reality (VR) ready and, with a solid-state drive (SSD), they offer fast installation and rapid game load times. There is a vast range of ASUS gaming laptops available, including those that fill the need for ultra-portable and ultra-lightweight devices, as well as more affordable variants that enable users to play recently released games with decent frame rates and refresh rates. When choosing a gaming computer laptop, one of the first aspects to consider is the quality of graphics. For high-end gaming, this means having a dedicated graphics processing unit (GPU) with dedicated video memory. QHD and 4K are standard resolutions for modern, premium gaming laptops because they can show off every tiny detail of a picture. They also feature a minimum of an Intel® i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU. They include 8GB of RAM, an HDMI 1.3 or DisplayPort video output and a minimum of 1 USB 3.0 port. These specifications ensure that VR ready laptops are capable of running Oculus headsets and meet the recommended requirements. They offer the minimum required 80 frames per second and have enough memory to support the headset and games. They will also play virtually any standard non-VR gaming title.
SSDs have fewer mechanical, moving parts than standard hard drives. Information stored on them is quicker and easier to access, making them an ideal home for the operating system and system files. You will find SSDs in gaming desktops, and they provide quick loading times and fast bootup when used in a gaming PC laptop.
