Funko Friday #2: Star Trek, Star Wars, and Wage the Uglydoll

By April 1, 2016No Comments

Collectible Funko Pop! figures have exploded in popularity in recent years, and the Newegg offices are no exception to the trend. It seems like everywhere you turn you see a cubicle decorated with an army of colorful, big-headed cultural icons.

Here’s a look at just a few of the Funko highlights here at Newegg HQ.

Captain Picard and Data

Are you a die-hard Trek fan? Do you scoff at Star Wars and long for the glory days of the early 90s when Jean-Luc Picard, Commander Data, and the rest of the glorious* crew of the Enterprise explored the stars, fought monsters, and examined complex moral dilemmas in a sci-fi setting?

If that’s the case, then you already know you need Picard’s trademark bald dome watching over you as you work, game, or watch one of the episodes where Data is Sherlock Holmes for the 50th time.

* = Wesley Crusher not included.

Rey and Finn

We included BB-8 the last time we did this feature, so now it’s time to take a look at his human buddies from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With Rey and Finn guarding your desk you know you’ll be safe from all the giant space battlestations and angsty teen Sith lords that normally plague your work days.

As an added bonus, Rey and Finn are available as bobbleheads too!

Wage the Uglydoll

The Uglydoll line of creatures and collectibles is hugely popular in certain circles, and it’s clear this Funko Wage is considered too valuable to even take out of the box by its lucky owner. Pretty impressive for such an ugly little guy, right?

If you’re jealous of all the Funko fun we’re having, make sure to pick up your own figures on Newegg.
