Great Holiday Gift Ideas for Every Tech and Gadget Enthusiast

By December 4, 2015No Comments

With the Black Friday and Cyber Monday whirlwind behind us, we can finally take a breath and look at popular items for shoppers this year. We dug through the data to pull up some of the hottest gift-giving items this season, and compiled a solid group of contenders for the best gift list ever. Now since you’re done shopping for yourself, check out these nifty ideas.

BB-8

BB-8
When it comes to lovable droids, R2-D2 has held the championship title now for a good 38 years (sorry C3PO, you know it’s true). A new autonomous robot has been working its way into our hearts over the past months, long before we have even seen him in action and it’s BB-8. This sweet gadget is an app-enabled remote control droid which can also record and project holographic videos! There’s more. He can actually recognize and respond to voice commands, putting you closer to having a robot companion than ever before.

I can’t wait to see him in action on the big screen in a couple weeks, and really look forward to having one of these under my tree.

DJI Phantom Quadcopter

Quadcopter

A few years ago if you would have told me you could capture HD video from a remote controlled aerial vehicle without duct-taping your cell phone to an RC plane, I would have called malarkey. Now these are the talk of the nation, and some serious fun can be had with them. I have seen some incredible footage captured from skilled pilots. These quadcopters are perfect for getting people outdoors while still having a lot of fun with cool tech.

Hoverboard Scooters

Scooter Board

If you haven’t seen one of these things rolling around the sidewalk lately, I would be very surprised. The popularity of these have skyrocketed in the last several months, and they are an awesome gift for anyone, child or adult. I have ridden a few different types of self-balancing scooters, and the simplicity of this style is one of the things I like best about it. I have seen people ride these for local transportation and recreation.

Vertagear Gaming Chair

Gaming Chair

If there’s a gamer or graphic designer you are shopping for this holiday season, there is one thing you can be sure of, long hours in front of the computer. As someone who spends the majority of the weekday hours sitting in front of a computer, I can tell you a comfortable chair really does make a world of difference. These gaming chairs really make a focal point of comfort, with superior lumbar/neck support and complete adjustment of every parameter. Especially if the person you are shopping for happens to be big and tall. The support chairs like these are gifts which keep on giving.

Pioneer Head Unit

Pioneer Head Unit

It is always great to be able to bring your favorite music with you on the road, and this CD receiver has emerged as a strong favorite this holiday season. This one has a slew of features making it attractive beyond the pleasing aesthetics. It has CD, AM/FM, Bluetooth connection, USB and AUX port. Another cool little feature for the audiophiles out there on your list is the MIXTRAX feature which uses unique transitions between songs to give a fluid DJ-eske sound, without the turntables.

Star Wars LEGOS

Star Wars Lego

Star Wars has always been cool, and LEGOS have given me hours of enjoyment throughout my life. When you put those two things together, you have the best collaboration since Luke met Han Solo. With the stream of trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming out and the movie debut, these timeless toys will be one of the more sought-after gift items of the season.

Fallout 4 Funko Collectibles

Fallout 4 Funko

Fallout 4 has been an awesome game with tons of fun gameplay. Now you can get killer collectible items to go along with it. These Fallout figurines can keep your gift recipient company while they are stuck at work daydreaming about building up defenses, or killing ghouls and salvaging things.

Holiday Gift Giving

The holiday season is great for nurturing relationships with family and friends, and when you find the perfect gift which speaks to someone’s interests it is a very good feeling.

What are some of your favorite gifts ideas?
