Q: Anyone know what kind of DVI port is on this card? Does it support digital and analog connections or only digital connections? I checked Power Color's website. I didn't find an answer. I can't see the pin holes in the port in the picture.

After Jordan's reply I went back to the site and finally found where it states the graphics card supports dual link DVI-D. However, I'm surprised the majority of answers here state dual link DVI-I. I'm wondering if PowerColor changed the specs of this graphics card by dropping support for DVI-I or maybe the company did use a DVI-I port on the card but only a DVI-D connection is supported. That way if somebody tries to plug a DVI to VGA adapter in to the port without checking if the port accepts the additional 4 pins then they won't hurt anything.

Q: I have used a Radeon 5450 before seeing this model of 6570.. three months later. Could this card run all pc games with at least the lowest setting?

Howdy Thanh L. Without question, it can run them at the lowest setting. The only thing that you might take note of is that it will take a gig of system memory in some situations, so what ever the memory the minimum memory requirements are add about a gig to it and you will be fine. You may be able to turn it off, but I never have even researched it. Hope this helps. Take Care Charles

It supports CrossfireX with a few of AMD's APUs. Check with AMD for the list. I forget the models off the top of my head, but it should work with about 3 models of APU. This card isn't worth Crossfiring with another card. (figure 24.99 AR x2=49.98) For 60ish on sale you can find the AMD 7750 DDR5 card which would be a much better solution than 2 of these cards.

Not all cards require the link cable I know I have two that I don't even use any more.

Q: Bought to upgrade from MSI R5570-MD1G but see the WEI go from 6.7 to 5.6. I would think it would go up due to a better GPU. Is there a configuration setting that I will need to change?

I installed this with factory settings on an older Compaq CQ5000 and the WEI went from 3.8 on Graphic to 5.7. The WEI on Gaming graphics went from 3.3 to 6.6. Very respectable gain for the price.

How does this card handle less demanding games like Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and the sims 3?

I run an older dual core system with 3 gigs of 800 mhz DDR2 and Windows 8.  This card runs WoW on Ultra settings with no lag to speak of.  Minecraft runs well.  My 4 kids play it and don't complain.  They set up a bunch of TnT and it did not lag out which is good I guess.  I don't play it but the kids were happy with it.  For the $ it's great.  I have the same card (HD6570) made by MSI in another system that is running Vista and it runs well also.  I would recommend it for sure.

You probably realize that just because there are three different monitor connectors on the back panel, that does not mean they will all be functional at the same time.  The dual monitor video cards I've owned have two identical connectors on the back of the card.

Question 3

Does this work with a 300 Watt Power Supply?

(I know it says 400 minimum, but I've heard of exceptions to the rule, occasionally.)

Uncertain - I am using it on a PC w/430 watts power supply with no problems. However, it really depends on the PC set up such number of hard drives, CPU, add-on cards etc, and also how you use your pc (internet/office work, or gaming).   Most PCs with <300 watts power supplies are utilizing the video adapter built into the CPU and interfaced motherboard and not designed for heavy usage such as gaming, and interfaced with several add-on cards and drives.  If you have just one non-bluray DVD drive and one hard drive in the PC, then I would try it.  If you have power-up problems (lag in start up and resets) after installation, then you may have a power supply issue.   Newegg does have great deals on power suppies though.  This is a great budget card for viewing movies and speeding up performance on a PC that does not have dedicated video card.    Good luck!
