Robert, the new MBs are set up for RAID. After reading several tech articles, most agree RAID is not necessary. I used to do RAID 0 a few years back when a 500MB Samsung was $230. Anything larger carried a ridiculous price. I got a 1 GB capacity, but on several occasions it did not translate into faster speeds. If you could obtain the double speeds it was more about bragging rights. I'm older and wiser now - lol. Hope this helps.

Given it's an EVO, I'd imagine at most it's a TLC and perhaps a QLC for the price.  Not knocking it, just giving rational thought based on their tiers of labelling.

The 990EVO plus is a single sided drive. And you should always remove the protective barrier to allow the thermal film to make contact with the M2 Samsung 990 EVO plus drive.
