This is a bare ssd, designed to be attached via sata plug. I guess it would work as a direct replacement for an existing sata drive, but it really would work best with a desktop with easier access to a slot and the necessary sata and power plugs.

Typically these drives do not have adapters. Some have a thickness adapter to fit in a 2.5" hard drive bay. Have a look at the Newegg case accessories for an adapter.

It will work with any computer with SATA connector.  Best to use with SATA 3 (6 Gb), but should work fine (but slower) with SATA 2 or SATA 1.

Disk management utility is your friend... There are multiple write ups on this procedure... Install the drive. It does not show until you go into the computer management utility and find it. Format it and assign it a drive letter.
