Hit the beach for summer sports with THQ's Big Beach Sports for the Nintendo Wii. This latest casual sports game lets you play six sports with an international flair. Volleyball, football and disc golf (frisbee golf) are familiar pass times on American beaches. Beach cricket, soccer and bocce offer a chance to play favorites from foreign shores.

Control your sets and serves with the Wiimote in volleyball. You spike the ball and set your team formation to have one player blocking at the net. Or, play a little pick-up scrimmage on the beach with football. Run the ball down the beach or go airborne and throw passes to your receivers. In disc golf, choose your frisbee for putting or driving. Throw your flying disc forehanded or backhanded or show your stuff with a hammer throw.

In cricket, keep the ball in play so your runners can score. Hold your Wiimote like a cricket bat and swing away and don't let the ball hit the wicket! Kick up some sand – and the ball for a little soccer action and try to get your ball closest to the target while knocking your opponent's further away in bocce. Play on colorfully rendered beaches with ocean sounds and a lively island musical background. Nintendo DS owners can draw and upload faces for their Mii avatar and unlockable outfits can have you spiking the ball as a monkey or running plays as a pirate.
