Will this camera also accept a regular power plug in case I have areas which are not serviced by POE?

Accepted Answer

No, it will not. There is only a Cat5 connection on the back and you can ONLY use Ubiquiti's PoE injector to power this unit.

The PoE injector is included in the packaging.

Question 2

Will this camera work over an intranet with no internet or wireless access?

Accepted Answer

It will if both the camera and the browser (PC, smart phone) are connected to the intranet router and the AirCam add-on/app is used to identify the camera IP and make the connection. The use of a fixed LAN IP for the camera simplifies making the connection.

IS THERE HDD REQUIRED TO INSTALL THIS?

The camera itself does not need a HDD.  If you intend to record the video you will need some software on a computer, and disk space for it to write the video files to.
